Facilities staff have been doing preventative maintenance on many buildings\u2019 boilers. The Landscape Services group has been beautifying campus pathways by street sweeping, freshening crosswalks, and pressure washing sidewalks.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Ch5 class=\u0022p6\u0022\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EJobs Well Done\u003C\/strong\u003E\u003C\/h5\u003E\u003Cp class=\u0022p5\u0022\u003EIn many places, ongoing construction is now complete.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cul\u003E\u003Cli\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EEngineered Biosystems Building\u003C\/strong\u003E: Construction is complete and researchers have moved in. An official dedication will take place Friday, September 11. The new facility also includes a second Highland Bakery location for campus.\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EBoggs Chemistry Building\u003C\/strong\u003E: Laboratories on the second floor have been renovated and include new furniture and common spaces. A ribbon cutting will take place in September.\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EGlenn and Towers Residence Halls\u003C\/strong\u003E: This two-year project that includes a new multiuse space and fitness area is now complete, and both buildings will be occupied for the fall semester.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EStudent Center Parking Lot\u003C\/strong\u003E: The lot now includes more bike racks and better ADA accessibility.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003ESmithgall Student Services (Flag) Building\u003C\/strong\u003E: The roof above all those flags needed replacement, and the project is now substantially complete. \u0026nbsp;\u003C\/li\u003E\u003C\/ul\u003E\u003Ch5 class=\u0022p8\u0022\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EWorks in Progress\u003C\/strong\u003E\u003C\/h5\u003E\u003Cp class=\u0022p5\u0022\u003EMeanwhile, other projects continue to progress and will still be under construction this semester.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cul\u003E\u003Cli\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EHarrison Square\u003C\/strong\u003E: The work around Cherry Street, which includes new seating, improved pedestrian pathways, and better ADA accessibility, is expected to be complete by September 3.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EHinman Courtyard\u003C\/strong\u003E: Construction here is also expected to be complete September 3.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003ECollins Family Gate\u003C\/strong\u003E: This project at the southwest corner of Bobby Dodd Stadium includes new landscaping, pathways, and stairs leading up to the Tech Tower Lawn. The project will be substantially complete by September 3. \u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EAtlantic Drive Steam Line Replacement\u003C\/strong\u003E: Construction is still underway and is expected to be complete by the end of October.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EMarcus Nanotechnology Building\u003C\/strong\u003E: Construction on interior labs is about 35 percent complete, with the expectation of a January 2016 move-in.\u003C\/li\u003E\u003C\/ul\u003E\u003Ch5 class=\u0022p8\u0022\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EMore to Come\u003C\/strong\u003E\u003C\/h5\u003E\u003Cp class=\u0022p5\u0022\u003ESome projects on the horizon include:\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cul\u003E\u003Cli\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003ETech Tower Renovation\u003C\/strong\u003E: The most iconic building on campus will undergo interior renovations this year, and occupants will begin to be relocated during the fall. More information on where to find those occupants during construction will be shared soon.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003ELibrary Renewal Project\u003C\/strong\u003E: As the Library prepares to repurpose some of its space, personnel and materials will continue to move inside.
