This seminar is open to the public.\n\u003C\/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EBIOGRAPHY \u003C\/strong\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\nDr. Maria Vlasiou is currently a Research Engineer II in the Stewart School of ISyE. She received her Ph.D. in Mathematics from the Eindhoven University of Technology, The Netherlands, and holds a Mathematics degree from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. During the 2001-2002 academic year, she worked at the University of Bielefeld in Germany. \n\u003C\/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EDr. Vlasiou\u0027s research interests are in stochastic processes and stochastic operations research with applications in manufacturing, call centers, warehousing, healthcare logistics, and traffic control.
