  <title><![CDATA[Sam Nunn Recognized by Georgia Trend for Bipartisan Leadership]]></title>
  <body><![CDATA[<p><em>Georgia Trend</em> magazine recognized Sam Nunn in its “<a href="http://www.georgiatrend.com/September-2015/30-Years-Of-Influence/">30 Years of Influence</a>” feature, which spotlights 30 of Georgia’s most influential leaders in business, government, nonprofit work, philanthropy, education, and the arts.</p><p>Nunn, a distinguished professor in the Sam Nunn School of International Affairs, was praised in the feature for “embracing a solidly bipartisan approach to politics” and being a “respected authority on foreign policy and defense.”</p><p>Nunn represented Georgia in the U.S. Senate for 24 years, and his major legislative achievements include the Department of Defense Reorganization Act and the Nunn-Lugar Act of 1991. In addition to his professorship, Nunn currently serves as CEO and co-chairman of the Nuclear Threat Initiative in Washington, D.C. &nbsp;</p><p>Other Georgia luminaries recognized in the feature were Georgia Tech President G.P. "Bud" Peterson, President Jimmy Carter, Arthur Blank, and John Lewis.&nbsp;</p>]]></body>
