If your son or daughter has an entrepreneurial spirit or is simply interested in learning more about the transformation from an idea to an invention to a potential startup company, there are several GT programs, competitions, and organizations to stimulate such innovation.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; The \u003Cstrong\u003E2016 InVenture Prize\u003C\/strong\u003E is starting now! The InVenture Prize is Georgia Tech\u2019s annual innovation competition for undergraduate students. Six individual students or student teams will have the opportunity to pitch their inventions to a panel of judges and 1000+ screaming fans in the final round of the competition, which is filmed live and aired on Georgia Public Broadcasting. Total prize money is $35,000, including a US patent. Startup Exchange is also the program behind Startup Semester, a competitive and intense 10-week workshop to help student teams turn their visions into tangible business models. ATDC works with not only Georgia Tech students, but all Georgia innovators, in any stage of business development. Since 1980, this organization has seen the successful evolution of over 150 companies and raised over $2 billion in financing. GT Venture Lab is the #2 ranked university startup incubator in the world. The help create startup companies based on Georgia Tech research.
