The free testing, provided by \u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/www.aidshealth.org\/#\/\u0022\u003EAIDS Healthcare Foundation\u003C\/a\u003E, is available to all Georgia Tech students, faculty, and staff at no charge.\u003Cstrong\u003E\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/strong\u003ETesting will be performed using the \u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/www.biolytical.com\/products\/instiHIV\u0022\u003EINSTI test\u003C\/a\u003E and results will be given immediately. Health Educators will be present to make sexual health information and safer sex supplies available.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp class=\u0022p2\u0022\u003EThis event is a part of the \u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/healthpromotion.gatech.edu\/promotion\/Pages\/Services-Programs\/Get-Yourself-Protected.aspx\u0022\u003EG.Y.P. (Get Yourself Protected)\u003C\/a\u003E campaign being implemented by Health Promotion. The goal of G.Y.P. is to empower Georgia Tech students to make healthy decisions regarding protection if they choose to be sexually active.\u0026nbsp; HIV testing is available to eligible students at \u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/health.gatech.edu\/Pages\/default.aspx\u0022\u003EStamps Health Services\u003C\/a\u003E at a low cost on an ongoing basis.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp class=\u0022p2\u0022\u003EMany sexually transmitted infections (STIs), including HIV, can be asymptomatic (which means a person could have a STI and not know it). One in eight (12.8%) of those people living with HIV in the United States are unaware of their infection(CDC, 2015).
