The Historic Westside Cultural Arts Council is showcasing the exhibit at the Lindsey Street Baptist Church on Sunday, Nov. 22, 2015 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., 550 Lindsay Street, Atlanta GA, 30314. 

"This exhibit is partly a story of the effects of two stadiums and community responses to them. In 1988 a group of Booker T. Washington high school students interviewed 13 residents of Vine City about the plans for the 1992 Georgia Dome. In 2015, Community Historians interviewed 10 residents, policymakers and community leaders about the 2017 Georgia Dome and their memories of the neighborhood. These interviews have been laced together with historical analysis and archival material. It is our hope that this exhibit, meant to give voice and power to the residents of English Avenue and Vine City, reveals the complexity of history and honors the power of memory in shaping it."
