The title of the lecture is \u0022Healthy Dissent: Urban Ecologies and the Art of Relational Politics.\u0022\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EMichael J. Montoya is a professor of anthropology, Chicano\/Latino Studies, public health and nursing science at the University of California, Irvine. He is the author of \u003Cem\u003EMaking the Mexican Diabetic: Race, Science, and the Genetics of Inequality\u003C\/em\u003E. Montoya is also the director of the \u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/www.communityknowledgeproject.org\/\u0022\u003ECommunity Knowledge Project\u003C\/a\u003E, which is an experimental space for communities of all kinds to learn and engage in action together. Montoya\u0027s work seeks to characterize the ways community knowledge can make academic questions more relevant and research more robust.
