The growing scale of science has been accompanied by a dramatic shift toward collaborative research referred to as \u201cteam science.\u201d A new discipline, The Science of Team Science (SciTS), has emerged from the study of strategies for understanding and enhancing the success of collaborative, team-based STEM research. SciTS is founded on a body of knowledge about team-based research and is a response to the need to better educate faculty, postdocs, and graduate students about effective collaboration.
