Le is vice-dean \u0026amp; co-founder of Sino-US Global Logistics Institute (SUGLI) and a professor in transportation and logistics at Shanghai Jiao Tong University.  Dr. Le also serves as standing director of China Communications and Transportation Association (CCTA).\u003C\/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003E\u0022We look forward to having Professor Le at Georgia Tech as a Global Logistics Scholar,* said Don Ratliff, SCL\u0027s Executive Director.  \u0022He has much to contribute to our understanding of Chinese port operations and China\u0027s role in the global economy.*\n\u003C\/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EDuring his stay on campus, Le will be working closely with Professor Ellis Johnson, Coca-Cola Chaired Professor in ISyE, to launch the MSIE dual degree program with Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Dr. Le also will be contributing to SCL\u0027s China Logistics Research Center as well as other ISyE activities.\n\u003C\/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EDuring the past 21 years, Dr. Le has taught 10 undergraduate and graduate courses and directed 35 graduates. He has a wide interest and expertise in supply chain and logistics engineering and management, and industrial and systems engineering. \n\u003C\/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003ESome of the current research projects supervised by Dr. Le include:\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n*\tWater Transportation System of Shanghai of Yangshan Deepwater Port\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n*\tPlanning of Yangkou of Chemical Logistics Park and Nantong Port\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n*\tEconomical Feasibility Analysis of Kemen of Fuzhou Port\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n*\tHinterland Economical Analysis and Cargo Volume Forecasting of Dongwu, Putian Port\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n*\tLogistics System Design for Ningbo Chemical Industry Zone\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n*\tDevelopment Strategy of International Container Transport\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n*\tDomestic Container Transport\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n*\tCoal Transport System in various ports such as Ningbo Port, Shantou Port, Guangzhou Port, etc. \n\u003C\/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EDr. Le also has experience in simulation.
