  <title><![CDATA[Georgia Tech gets NSF grant for Internet security research]]></title>
  <body><![CDATA[<p>Georgia Tech researchers are developing tools that allow internet service providers (ISPs) to better verify the owner of a network and legitimate traffic paths. As part of a multi-year project funded with a $300,000 National Science Foundation grant, researchers will address the Internet identity problem with new protocols such as RPKI (Resource Public Key Infrastructure.) “We know it’s easy to lie on the Internet,” Russ Clark, a senior research scientist in the School of Computer Science at Georgia Tech, said in the statement. “It happens because of a weakness in the trust relationship between routing protocols.
