509191 news 1457033451 1653584976 <![CDATA[Tech's Fleet Services Team Recognized for Excellence in Technician Certifications]]> Georgia Tech’s Fleet Services Department has been recognized by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) with the Blue Seal of Excellence. The program validates the competence and credibility of the auto repair shop technicians who help people keep our Georgia Tech fleet on the road every day. And in the case of government fleets such as Tech’s, it honors the hard work technicians put into making sure police officers and daily operations and maintenance employees are able to serve our campus community.

“I could not be prouder of Fleet Manager Sam Evans and his team. It requires perseverance and a holistic view of __ performance to pursue and meet the requirements of this national program,” said Facilities Management Assistant Vice President Mark Demyanek.  

In order to earn the ASE Blue Seal recognition, a minimum of 75% of the shop’s technicians must be ASE certified. Among those certified technicians, the shop must cover all ASE certifications that correspond to every area of service the shop offers.

Georgia Tech’s Fleet Services team is part of the Facilities Management Department. Fleet Services has __ total employees and works on ___ vehicles across campus including police cars, street sweepers, waste hauling trucks, landscape all-terrain vehicles and more.
