509241 news 1457080498 1475896857 Georgia Tech’s new academic initiative, Serve-Learn-Sustain, officially launched in January with classes and programs designed to help students combine their academic and career interests with their desire to improve the human condition. Georgia Tech students passionate about making the world a better place will help build healthier, more sustainable communities where people and nature thrive, will be pursue careers and lives filled with meaning. Beginning this semester, Serve-Learn-Sustain offered two Core classes, one focused on sustainability from a systems perspective and one focused on exploring community connections to sustainability. In addition, 18 courses and projects throughout Tech are affiliated with the Serve-Learn-Sustain Program. The Center for Serve-Learn-Sustain is also offering a full line-up of events this Spring, in partnership with other Georgia Tech offices and our community partners, designed to help students explore their interest in sustainable communities.
