Their entry is a Web application that allows users to click on any of the eight \u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/www.un.org\/millenniumgoals\/\u0022 target=\u0022_blank\u0022\u003EMillennium Development Goals\u003C\/a\u003E (MDGs), such as environmental sustainability, ending poverty and hunger, combating HIV\/AIDS, etc. The mashup instantly crawls the Web and displays news and other information grouped under more specific topic headings. Titled \u0022\u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/www.teamcurious.com\/actors\/index.php\u0022 target=\u0022_blank\u0022\u003EMDG Actors\u003C\/a\u003E,\u0022 the mashup highlights names of individual persons, and users can scroll over those people\u0027s names for pop-up menus of additional information (such as the individual\u0027s Wikipedia page, the latest relevant posts on Twitter, and other links).\u003C\/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EIn addition to mashups, the \u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/imaginecup.com\/\u0022 target=\u0022_blank\u0022\u003EImagine Cup\u003C\/a\u003E features categories such as software design, embedded development and others. Competitors represent their home countries; Team Curious is the only U.S. team represented among six finalists (in fact, they were the only Americans among 15 semifinalists, as well).
