He has applied methods from statistical physics and Markov chain Monte Carlo sampling methodologies in a variety of novel settings -- most notably to address the correspondence problem in computer vision. Most recently, he investigated 3D reconstruction in large-scale environments by taking a graph-theoretic view. Since 2007, Fortnow has held an adjoint professorship at the Toyota Technological Institute at Chicago. Fortnow\u0027s research spans computational complexity and its applications, most recently microeconomic theory. His work on interactive proof systems and time-space lower bounds for satisfiability led to his election in 2007 a Fellow of the Association of Computing Machinery (ACM). In addition, he was a National Science Foundation Presidential Faculty Fellow from 1992-1998 and a Fulbright Scholar to the Netherlands in 1996-97. McGreggor is a lead instructor for the National Science Foundation (NSF) Innovation Corps (I-Corps) program, the head of the Georgia Tech I-Corps node, and is an internationally recognized leader in entrepreneurship education.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EHe also is the director of VentureLab, Georgia Tech\u2019s comprehensive center for technology commercialization that transforms innovations into startups by developing engaging business models, connecting researchers with experienced entrepreneurs, locating sources of early-stage financing, and preparing these new companies for global markets. With more than 140 active startups based on Georgia Tech\u2019s technology, VentureLab has been consistently ranked as one of North America\u2019s top 10 university-based incubators. McGreggor also has been an entrepreneur for the last three decades. His first company, Artificial Intelligence Atlanta, was the first artificial intelligence company in the southeast, which led to a position in robotics for Lockheed Martin. He has been a founder or co-founder of six software companies and holds three core patents in computer graphics. McGreggor wrote and shipped the first 3D program and first color paint program for the Macintosh. He developed the color architecture for the Macintosh, wrote substantial portions of the graphics system, and managed the graphics group at Apple Computer in Cupertino, Calif. Christensen","body":[{"value":"\u003Cp\u003EHenrik I Christensen is the KUKA Chair of Robotics and a professor in the School of Interactive Computing in the College of Computing at the Georgia Institute of Technology. He also serves as the executive director of the Institute for Robotics and Intelligent Machines. Christensen was initially trained in Mechanical Engineering and worked subsequently with MAN\/BW Diesel. He earned a master\u2019s and doctorate in electrical engineering from Aalborg University. Since graduating, Christensen has participated in a large number of international research projects across four continents. He has held positions at Aalborg University, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, and Royal Institute of Technology before joining Georgia Tech. Christensen does research on robotics with a particular emphasis on a systems perspective to the problem. Solutions must have a strong theoretical basis, a corresponding well-defined implementation and it must be evaluated in realistic settings. There is a strong emphasis on \u201creal systems for real applications!\u201d The research has involved collaborations with ABB, Electrolux, Daimler-Chrysler, KUKA, iRobot, Apple, Partek Forest, Volvo, SAIC, Boeing, General Motors, PSA Peugeot, BMW, Yujin, and more. Christensen has published more than 300 contributions across robotics, vision and artificial intelligence. Christensen served as the Founding Chairman of European Robotics Research Network (1999-2006) and as the research coordinator for ECVision (2000-2004). He has lead and participated in a large number of European Union projects such as VAP, CoSy, CogVis, SMART, CAMERA, EcVision, EURON, Cogniron, and Neurobotics. He served as the principal investigator for the Computing Community Consortium initiative on U.S. Robotics. He is a principal investigator on ARL MAST CTA, the Robotics-Vo and n number of projects with industry. He was awarded the Joseph Engelberger Award 2011 and also named a Boeing Supplier of the Year 2011. He is a fellow of American Association for the Advancement of Science and  Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. He was awarded an honorary doctorate in engineering from Aalborg University 2014. At ICL, Drake is in the Innovative Computing Division where he serves as Technical Lead for the Algorithms and Analytics Branch. Drake has been awarded four patents and published numerous papers in the areas of optical computers, adaptive algorithms for signal processing, and adaptive machine learning methods. He is the GTRI lead of the Georgia Tech\/GTRI DARPA-funded XDATA research team. She is researching Parsons problems (mixed up program code that must be placed into the correct order) as a type of low cognitive load practice problem to improve learning. Her research focuses on the characterization of non-suicidal self-injury and self-harm within a social computing context. Her interest and research lies at the interdisciplinary boundary between developmental psychology and computing, and focuses on analyzing autism and related developmental conditions. She asks questions regarding how the behavior of individuals with autism emerges and transforms over time. To find answers, she applies novel sensing capabilities and computationally driven measurement and modeling. This work is leading to novel ways of capturing and quantifying complex human behaviors, as well as developing new understandings of these behaviors -- both among typically developing individuals and those with autism. The ultimate goal is to make these new measurements and modeling techniques work outside the lab in real-world environments like the home, school, and clinic where there is a need for more objective, reliable means of tracking the emergence of autism and its developmental course. Rozga also has a broad interest in exploring how technology can impact research and clinical care outcomes of autism. Recent projects in this space include evaluating a novel telehealth tool to support remote diagnosis of autism using videos recorded by parents in the home, and developing and evaluating motion-based games to support engagement and collaboration among students with autism. Rozga received a bachelor\u2019s degree in psychology from the University of California, Berkeley, and a master\u2019s and doctorate in developmental psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles. She completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship through the Center for Behavior Neuroscience at Georgia State University before joining Georgia Tech in 2010. Stasko received the IEEE VGTC Visualization Technical Achievement Award in 2012, and he was named an ACM Distinguished Scientist in 2011 and an IEEE Fellow in 2014. In 2013, he also became an honorary professor in the School of Computer Science at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland. Wolf\u2019s focus is to solve real-world problems in application domains like interactive scientific computation, real-time and embedded systems, and operational information systems in the enterprise domain. Particular research projects and contributions include ADIOS, a high performance I\/O library jointly developed by Oak Ridge National Laboratory and Georgia Tech, the HERMES information system for dynamic web-scale data management, and contributions towards dynamic, cloud-scale monitoring. Wolf is a member of the Center for Experimental Research in Computer Systems (CERCS) and a founding co-lead of the \u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/korvo.gatech.edu\u0022\u003EKorvo Research Group\u003C\/a\u003E. He also holds a joint appointment with Oak Ridge National Laboratory.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EOrganizations that have sponsored Wolf\u0027s work include the National Science Foundation, Department of Energy, Intel, HP, and Cisco, among others.
