Three other CoC students\u003Cbr \/\u003E\nand one student in ISyE were finalists for the award, and each won $1,000.\u003C\/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003E\nThe scholarship was founded by Google in 2003 to honor the work of Dr.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\nAnita Borg, a computer scientist who dedicated her professional career\u003Cbr \/\u003E\nto increasing the participation of women and other under-represented\u003Cbr \/\u003E\nminorities in the field of technology.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n\u003Cbr \/\u003E\nA total of 23 Anita Borg Scholarships scholarships were awarded in the U.S. this\u003Cbr \/\u003E\nyear, while 33 students were finalists.
