The committee advises Secretary Chertoff and the DHS Chief Privacy Officer on \u201cprogrammatic, policy, operational, administrative and technological issues relevant to DHS that affect individual privacy, data integrity and\u00a0interoperability, and other privacy-related issues.\u201d Ant\u00f3n will serve a four-year term on the committee.\u003C\/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EAnt\u00f3n is currently an associate professor of computer science at North Carolina State University, and the founder and director of ThePrivacyPlace.org, a research group of students and faculty at Georgia Tech, NC State and Purdue University.
