The symposium training sessions are conducted by Georgia Tech staff and faculty, as well as invited corporate technical representatives with expertise in specific topics of interest.

Sessions are held primarily within rooms in the Petit Institute and UA Whitaker. A range of venues are used, such as seminar rooms, conference rooms, computer labs and wet labs, which allows for sessions to be taught in lecture as well as workshop demonstration formats.

Organized by the Research Committee of the Bioengineering and Bioscience Unified Graduate Students (BBUGS) and the Petit Institute, this workshop is open to any interested Georgia Tech, Emory, Georgia State or Morehouse students.
