I will describe a simple filtering process that allows us to reduce the anomalously large gradients intrinsic to high-order polynomial approximations and consequently use a larger time step. Additionally, local time stepping algorithms will be demonstrated for meshes with a large range of element sizes.\u003C\/p\u003E\n\u003Cp class=\u0022MsoPlainText\u0022\u003ERecently we have been testing high performance implementations for DGTD on graphics processing units. The results are very promising.
