  <body><![CDATA[<p>Cybersecurity startups <a href="http://www.crowdstrike.com/" target="_self">CrowdStrike</a> and <a href="https://www.pindrop.com/" target="_blank">Pindrop Security</a> -- born out of student reseach or led by Georgia Tech alumni -- are among a dozen companies nationwide that each have raised $100 million or more in funding since 2014, according to Dow Jones VentureSource.</p><p>Pindrop Security is an anti-fraud and authentication system for call centers that was conceived by CEO <strong>Vijay&nbsp;Balasubramaniyan</strong> while a Georgia Tech student, working closely with professors <strong>Mustaque Ahamad </strong>and<strong> Patrick Traynor</strong>. CrowdStrike was co-founded by <strong>Dmitri Alperovitch</strong> who earned his master's in Information Security degree at Georgia Tech.
