There will be three awards issued to women in the College of Architecture, for faculty, graduate, and undergraduate students.  Awards will be presented to individuals who have distinguished themselves through their leadership, scholarship and sustained service on behalf of the Georgia Institute of Technology and the College of Architecture.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EAward categories are:\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n\u003Cstrong\u003ECoA NSF ADVANCE Women of Excellence Faculty Award ($1500)\u003C\/strong\u003E\u003C\/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003E\nEligible candidates for the Faculty Award include any female faculty (including professors, associate professors, assistant professors, lecturers, and professors of practice) in any program of the College of Architecture.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003ECandidates will be judged on the following criteria:\n\u003C\/p\u003E\n\u003Cul\u003E\n\u003Cli\u003EAcademic leadership in their discipline\n\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EProfessional leadership within the university\n\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EProfessional leadership within the College of Architecture\n\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EContribution to intellectual and social success of the Tech community\u003C\/li\u003E\u003C\/ul\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003ECoA NSF ADVANCE Women of Excellence Graduate Award ($800)\u003C\/strong\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\nEligible candidates for the Graduate Award include any female graduate student (Master or Doctoral) in any program of the College of Architecture. \n\u003C\/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003ECandidates will be judged on the following criteria:\n\u003C\/p\u003E\n\u003Cul\u003E\n\u003Cli\u003EAcademic leadership in their discipline\n\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EProfessional leadership within the university\n\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EProfessional leadership within the College of Architecture\n\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EContribution to intellectual and social success of the Tech community\u003C\/li\u003E\u003C\/ul\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003ECoA NSF ADVANCE Women of Excellence Undergraduate Award ($500)\u003C\/strong\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\nEligible candidates for the Undergraduate Award include any female undergraduate student in any program of the College of Architecture.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\nCandidates will be judged on the following criteria:\n\u003C\/p\u003E\n\u003Cul\u003E\n\u003Cli\u003EAcademic excellence in their discipline\n\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EProfessional leadership within the university\n\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EProfessional leadership within the College of Architecture\n\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EContribution to intellectual and social success of the Tech community\u003C\/li\u003E\n\u003C\/ul\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EAbout the NSF ADVANCE program\u003C\/strong\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\nADVANCE is dedicated to analyzing and eliminating gender disparities in the academic setting. At Georgia Tech, it provides resources to reduce gender bias, mitigate barriers due to family responsibilities, and increase career advancement opportunities for women. Dr. Ross has recently been appointed as the ADVANCE Professor for the CoA, tasked with leading the program for CoA faculty and academic professionals. The ADVANCE program is funded by the National Science Foundation and Georgia Tech.
