In 1984, he graduated Cum Laude from the University of Georgia School of Law. From 1984 to 2006, Judge Batten was a trial lawyer with Schreeder, Wheeler \u0026amp; Flint, LLP. In September 2005, President George W. Bush nominated Judge Batten to the U.S. District Court in Atlanta.
