(Manos) Tentzeris has been appointed as an IEEE Distinguished Lecturer in the Microwave Theory and Techniques Society (MTT-S). Dr. Tentzeris is a professor in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at Georgia Tech.

IEEE Distinguished Lecturers are engineering professionals who help lead their fields in new technical developments that shape the global community. In this new role, Dr. Tentzeris is making presentations to various technical and regional groups in the areas of RFIDs, "green" RF electronics, paper-based RF components, inkjet-printed antennas and wireless sensors, power scavenging, and cognitive intelligence technologies.

An ECE faculty member since 1998, Dr. Tentzeris is the associate director for RFID/sensors research at the Georgia Electronic Design Center. He is a magna cum laude graduate in electrical engineering and computer science (EECS) from the National Technical University in Athens, Greece and earned his M.S. and Ph.D. in EECS from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor.
