Or, would the potential cost of no first use exceed its potential benefits?\n\u003C\/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EScott D. Sagan is the Caroline S.G. Munro Professor of Political Science, co-director of the Center for International Security and Cooperation at Stanford University. Before joining the Stanford faculty, Sagan was a lecturer in the Department of Government at Harvard University and served as a special assistant to the director of the Organization of the Joint Chiefs of Staff in the Pentagon. He has also served as a consultant to the office of the Secretary of Defense, the Sandia National Laboratory, and the Los Alamos National Laboratory. His most recent publications include \u0022The Case for No First Use,\u0022 Survival (June 2009), \u0022Shared Responsibility for Nuclear Disarmament,\u0022 Daedalus (Fall 2009) and Inside Nuclear South Asia, (Stanford University Press, 2009).\n\u003C\/p\u003E","summary":null,"format":"limited_html"}],"field_subtitle":"","field_summary":[{"value":"\u003Cp\u003ECISTP Lecture with Scott D.
