The school wasn\u0027t yet named after Nunn, Cls 60, and Stulberg didn\u0027t learn of the connection until after he was hired.  Since joining Tech - he\u0027s now an associate professor and co-director of the Center for International Strategy, Technology and Policy - Stulberg has continued working closely with Nunn in his efforts to educate policymakers on critical issues of international security. That included planning the Sam Nunn Policy Forum (March 29, 2010) on campus, that discussed the challenges to forming a partnership between the United States, Russia and Europe to work toward global nuclear risk reduction.\n\u003C\/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003E\u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/gtalumnimag.com\/?p=1613\u0022\u003EGeneral Knowledge\u003C\/a\u003E:  With strong ties to the military, the Institute welcomed Gen. David H. Petraeus to campus for a \u0022conversation\u0022 with the Central Command leader.\n\u003C\/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003E\u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/gtalumnimag.com\/?p=1607\u0022\u003EService Industry\u003C\/a\u003E:  \u0022Georgia Tech\u0027s strong relationship to the military is the central part of our history of research and education. It manifests itself above all through the service of generations of students and faculty and staff who have been in the military. The strength of our own ROTC units - Army, Navy, Air Force - is also a testimony to the generations whose service to the nation we remember.\u0022\n\u003C\/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003E\u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/gtalumnimag.com\/?p=1640\u0022\u003EComputing For Good\u003C\/a\u003E: In a recent editorial in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Tech computing professor Santosh Vempala pointed out that while computing has been the defining scientific development of this period of history, people often associate it with business, social networking and entertainment.
