INTA Student winner of 2009 SAIC GT Student Paper Competition

Amira Mouna, an undergrad from the Sam Nunn School of International Affairs, was selected as one of the winners of the 2009 SAIC - Georgia Tech Student Paper Competition for her essay on "Analysis of Neoliberalist and Realist Perspectives of Bionanotechnology in Iran."

Amira was one of only three undergrads from Georgia Tech to win the award and the only student from the Ivan Allen College. Her paper, based on research with Professor Margaret Kosal, considers the international security connections of Iran's bionanotechnology research and development programs, infrastructure, and capabilities. There will be an awards ceremony held on Thursday, 19 November, in which she will receive a plaque and a check in recognition of her work.
