Electrical engineering maintained its fourth place position from last year and ranked second among public universities, while computer engineering remained strong at sixth place, maintaining the same position as last year, and ranked third among public universities.

Moving up a spot from last year, the College of Engineering tied for fourth with Caltech, and all of the programs offered by the College placed among the top 10 of their respective disciplines. This year, the College has two programs ranked as number one in the nation. Industrial and systems engineering ranked number one for the 22nd consecutive year, and biomedical engineering ranked first in its discipline for the first time.
