  <title><![CDATA[Taylor Speaks at Several Universities About National Science and Technology Leadership]]></title>
  <body><![CDATA[<p>Mark&nbsp;Zachary&nbsp;Taylor, an associate professor in the <a href="http://www.iac.gatech.edu/">Ivan Allen College</a> <a href="http://inta.gatech.edu/">Sam Nunn School of International Affairs</a>, gave talks at several universities in September&nbsp;on his new book, <em>The Politics of Innovation: Why Some Countries Are Better Than Others at Science and Technology</em>.</p>

<p>Taylor spoke at the Columbia University&nbsp;School of International and Public Affairs, the New York University&nbsp;Center for Urban Science and Progress, and the George Mason University&nbsp;Mercatus Center.</p>

<p>In <em>The Politics of Innovation</em>, Taylor brings together current political and economic wisdom, as well as recent findings&nbsp;about how nations become science and technology leaders. The book provides readers with an introduction to the debates over national science and technology competitiveness, synthesizing over 50 years of theory and research on national innovation rates.&nbsp;</p>
