MST is a powerful method to quantify biomolecular interactions. It measures the motion of molecules along microscopic temperature gradients, detecting changes in their hydration shell, charge, or size. In combination with high-precision fluorescence detection, MST provides a flexible, robust, and rapid method to measure molecular interactions using miniscule sample quantities. Applications range from small-molecule screening and drug discovery to analyzing interactions of multi-protein complexes. Technical details, technology benefits, and application examples will be described.
