In the fall of 2014 Georgia Tech became a 100% tobacco and smoke-free campus. The purpose of this University System of Georgia (USG) policy was to create a health-supporting community for everyone, tobacco-users and non-users alike. The new policy also supports the right for all people on university system campuses to breathe smoke-free air. The simple reason for our policy is respect for each other and the environment. Georgia Tech is committed to providing tobacco cessation resources for students, faculty and staff.
