The strange future of emotional AI","body":[{"value":"\u003Cp\u003EThe Guardian talks about\u0026nbsp;Mark Riedl, an\u0026nbsp;associate professor at Georgia Tech and director of the university\u0026rsquo;s Entertainment Intelligence Lab. He\u0026rsquo;s currently working on a project named Quixote, an AI system designed to make it easier for non-specialist programmers to create intelligent \u0026lsquo;virtual agents\u0026rsquo;. Quixote allows AI agents to learn social rules and behaviours through reading stories sourced online; right now Riedl uses Amazon\u0026rsquo;s online crowdsourcing marketplace Mechanical Turk to commission people to write short stories around set themes.
