  <title><![CDATA[Alumna Laura Powell to Clerk for Federal Circuit Court of Appeals Judge]]></title>
  <body><![CDATA[<p>Laura Powell (BSPP 2013) is in her last year at Vanderbilt Law School, where she is specializing in intellectual property law. &nbsp;She recently published &ldquo;The Patentability of Digital &lsquo;Manufactures&rsquo; as 3D Printing Expands Into the 4D World&rdquo; in the Vanderbilt Journal of Entertainment and Technology Law (of which she is editor-in-chief). She also is a member of the National Academy of Television Arts &amp; Sciences. &nbsp;She has interned with the Chief Justice of the Georgia Supreme Court and for the US District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee.<br />
&nbsp;<br />
Next year she will be clerking for Judge Gregory Sleet on the Delaware District Court and then with Judge Evan Wallach on the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit in Washington, DC for 2018-2020.<br />
&nbsp;<br />
While studying public policy at Georgia Tech, Laura was a cheerleader, and interned with the EPA, the Georgia Chamber of Commerce, and Troutman Sanders Strategies.</p>
