The fellows are part of the Faculty Learning Communities (FLCs), a cohort of 8-12 faculty who meet regularly over the course of a semester or year to engage in collaboration and discussion about teaching and learning (based on a specific theme or topic). Each spring, faculty have the opportunity to propose themes for faculty learning communities, followed by a period of application for participation. 

In addition to his research and teaching, Barke is also a member of the faculty leadership team for Tech’s Center for 21st Century Universities, and he has led the strategic initiative for College “X.”  

The FLCs initiative is part of the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL), which enhances the learning and teaching environment at Georgia Tech by encouraging a fully engaged, sharing community with communication networks, resources, and innovative programs for faculty, postdoctoral scholars, and graduate students.
