He constructs wilderness makerspaces that achieve in situ environments for designing technological tools to study and interact with nature.\u0026nbsp;His groundbreaking explorations are about to gain widespread media exposure through a new program on the Science Channel called \u0026ldquo;Hacking the Wild,\u0026rdquo; which airs Wednesday nights at 10 p.m. EST.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EInspiration for the series came from Quitmeyer\u0026rsquo;s \u0026ldquo;hiking hacks,\u0026rdquo; expeditions leading students to explore novel applications of digital technologies in nature.
