  <title><![CDATA[HSOC Workshop on the Global Meat Industry and its Implications]]></title>
  <body><![CDATA[<p>The School of History and Sociology is hosting a workshop on the implications of the global meat industry. &nbsp;The event will be Thursday, March 9th from 3:00 - 4:30 PM in the Hall Building, room 102. &nbsp;Speakers include:</p>

<ul>
	<li>Philip Howard (Michigan State University)- &ldquo;Corporate Concentration in the Meat Industry&rdquo;</li>
	<li>Conner Bailey (Auburn University)- &ldquo;Global Seafood Production&rdquo;</li>
	<li>Mindi Schneider (Institute of Social Studies, The Hague)- &ldquo;Industrial Pork Production in China&rdquo;</li>
	<li>Elizabeth Ransom (University of Richmond)- Moderator</li>
</ul>

<p><em><strong>The event is free and open to the public. </strong></em>&nbsp;Sponsors include the School of History and Sociology, the Brook Byers Institute for Sustainable Systems, and the Serve &bull; Learn &bull; Sustain FEWS (Food, Energy, and Water Systems) Fellows Program.</p>
