  <title><![CDATA[Brett Wick Receives Humboldt Research Fellowship]]></title>
  <body><![CDATA[<p><a href="http://www.math.gatech.edu/users/bwick6">Brett Wick</a> has received the <a href="http://www.humboldt-foundation.de/web/1710.html" target="_blank">Humboldt Research Fellowship for Experienced Researchers</a> in recognition of his&nbsp; scientific work in complex function theory. The candidates are selected solely on the basis of their academic record. The most important criteria for assessment are:</p>

<ul>
	<li>academic publications in internationally-reviewed journals and publishing houses;</li>
	<li>statements on the candidate&#39;s academic profile and potential contained in the expert references;</li>
	<li>the academic quality and feasibility of the research proposal.</li>
</ul>

<p>Brett will be based at the <a href="http://www.uni-paderborn.de/en/" target="_blank">University of Paderborn</a> hosted by Professors <a href="http://www2.math.uni-paderborn.de/en/people/sandra-pott.html" target="_blank">Sandra Pott</a> and <a href="http://www2.math.uni-paderborn.de/ags/ag-jacob.html" target="_blank">Birgit Jacob</a>. The fellowship is for a period of 18 months. Brett plans to spend several semesters beginning in Spring 2010 through Summer 2012 at the University.</p>
