590064 news 1491827146 1494527978 <![CDATA[Ferst Drive to Close through Friday]]> Today at 6 p.m., Ferst Drive will close to vehicular traffic through Friday for repairs as steam line construction progresses along the corridor.

Up until this point, construction continued with at least one lane open at all times. Due to recent weather conditions causing loose gravel and soil in the area, the road must be closed entirely in order to ensure safety in the area.

Beginning at 6 p.m., traffic on Ferst Drive will be re-routed at Fowler Street from the East and State Street from the West. Pedestrian traffic will be slightly re-routed only at the intersection of Ferst Drive and Atlantic Drive with a required street crossing. The road is expected to reopen Friday, April 14, at noon.
