Over 6,000 mathematicians attended this week long event. Georgia Tech was well represented at the meeting, with over 30 paper contributions, 6 AMS special sessions hosted by several faculty members, panelists, and many more organizers of sessions and events.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\u003C\/div\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cdiv\u003E\r\n\u003Cp\u003ETwo School of Mathematics professors had plenary roles. \u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/www.math.gatech.edu\/people\/michael-damron\u0022\u003EMichael Damron\u003C\/a\u003E gave a series of lectures in an American Mathematics Society (AMS) Short Course on \u003Cem\u003E\u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/jointmathematicsmeetings.org\/amsmtgs\/2180_abstracts\/1125-60-3158.pdf\u0022\u003ERandom Growth Models\u003C\/a\u003E\u003C\/em\u003E. Damron was also an organizer of an AMS special session. \u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/www.math.gatech.edu\/people\/matt-baker\u0022\u003EMatt Baker\u003C\/a\u003E was an \u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/jointmathematicsmeetings.org\/meetings\/national\/jmm2017\/2180_invspeakers\u0022\u003Einvited speaker\u003C\/a\u003E this year.
