The office space portion of the project will be used by the Georgia Tech Research Corporation for sponsored research activity. This project is the next step in the long-term realization of Georgia Tech’s Eco-Commons. Financing for the project is anticipated to take place in FY18.

The second information item was for the Student Center renovation and expansion project. The project will involve renovation and demolition of parts of the existing center, ultimately creating expanded retail and dining options, enlarged recreational and entertainment areas, co-working space for student groups, additional meeting and event space, and outdoor space. Georgia Tech Facilities will contract for and facilitate the planning, design, and construction of the project. The project is years in the making and financing is not anticipated to occur before FY19.
