{"591388":{"#nid":"591388","#data":{"type":"news","title":"Graduate Spotlight: Titilayo Funso","body":[{"value":"\u003Cp\u003ETitilayo \u0026ldquo;TJ\u0026rdquo; Funso started Georgia Tech as a business major, but switched to industrial engineering the last day of her freshman year.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EShe fell for engineering and wanted to become an engineer after getting involved with the campus chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u0026ldquo;Before I came to Georgia Tech I didn\u0026rsquo;t even know what engineering was, which is crazy,\u0026rdquo; she said. \u0026ldquo;Being a student at Georgia Tech has changed my life because it\u0026rsquo;s pushed me to demand more of myself than I ever would\u0026rsquo;ve done otherwise.\u0026rdquo;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EAnother of Funso\u0026rsquo;s passions is photography. Both her parents were photographers, and she got a camera for her 18\u003Csup\u003Eth\u003C\/sup\u003E birthday. She started taking pictures for graduating seniors at her high school, and the practice continued at Georgia Tech.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EShe launched her own photography business, and groups on campus hired her to take photos at their events. She\u0026rsquo;s captured many images of classmates\u0026#39; graduation moments before earning her own degree.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003ELast year she was one of the winners of the Institute\u0026rsquo;s Alvin M.
