Greetings from the Parents Board

Dear Parents and Families,

Congratulations on becoming part of the Georgia Tech family! Your student is joining the ranks of one of the leading technological research institutions in the world…it’s an amazing place comprised of amazing people.

Four years ago, we began the same journey you are beginning this summer. We know the experience of seeing your student off to college is bittersweet, but know that they’re in good hands. The administration and faculty and staff at Tech take seriously the trust you’ve placed in the institution, and they are committed to helping your student continue their academic success.

Our son, Taj, has grown and matured during this time. He has made new friends and had wonderful experiences that will prepare him for a successful career and a life of service and accomplishment. He has become an independent adult and a serious learner (and, yes, we are proud of him and grateful to Georgia Tech!)

You may be aware that part of Tech’s recipe for success is parental involvement through volunteer service and personal giving. We invite you to join us in demonstrating your support through active participation in the Georgia Tech Parents Association. As the parent of a new member of the Yellow Jacket community, we welcome you and encourage you to offer your wisdom, time, and the level of philanthropy you find to be most suitable. For more information on how you can become involved, please visit our website.

Welcome to the family. Go Jackets!

Sincerely,

Aleem and Cindy Gillani

Co-Chairs, Parents Board
