Also, study co-author <a href="https://www.isye.gatech.edu/users/craig-tovey">Craig Tovey</a>, a professor in the <a href="https://www.isye.gatech.edu">H. Milton Stewart School of Industrial and Systems Engineering</a>, takes us behind the scenes of the research in this <a href="https://theconversation.com/how-do-fire-ants-form-amazing-towers-and-rafts-without-a-master-plan-80717">post</a> for The Conversation. <a href="http://biosci.gatech.edu/people/david-hu">David Hu</a> also worked on&nbsp;the study. Hu is&nbsp;an associate professor in the School of Biological Sciences and the <a href="http://www.me.gatech.edu">George W. Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering</a>. He is also an adjunct associate professor in the School of Physics.&nbsp;</p>
