  <title><![CDATA[Shifting ice on Jupiter’s moon could probe its interior]]></title>
  <body><![CDATA[<p><a href="http://www.eas.gatech.edu/people/Britney_Schmidt">Britney Schmidt</a>, assistant professor in the School of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, knows a thing or two about researching&nbsp;Jupiter&#39;s icy moon Europa. Schmidt is&nbsp;part of the NASA research <a href="https://solarsystem.nasa.gov/docs/Europa_Lander_SDT_Report_2016.pdf">team</a> looking at instrumentation for&nbsp;a proposed Europa lander mission. That&#39;s why Astronomy asked her to comment on new research that simulates icequakes on the moon, and whether accelerometers and other seismic instruments&nbsp;should be included in the lander&#39;s&nbsp;instrumentation.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>
