The distributed networks are difficult to physically secure, legacy equipment can make cryptography and regular patches virtually impossible, and compromises can result in catastrophic physical damage. In this talk, Dr.\u0026nbsp;Beyah\u0026nbsp;will discuss the expanded attack surface of control systems as well as new ways to secure them. Highlights and takeaways from a multi-year study of distribution substation traffic dynamics\u0026nbsp;by Georgia Tech will be discussed.\u0026nbsp;\u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/protect-us.mimecast.com\/s\/nKoRBpuL5Zw4iX\u0022 rel=\u0022noopener\u0022 target=\u0022_blank\u0022\u003EDr.\u0026nbsp;Beyah\u003C\/a\u003E\u0026nbsp;is the Motorola Foundation Professor and Associate Chair in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Georgia Tech, a senior member of IEEE, and an ACM Distinguished Scientist. In 2016, he co-founded\u0026nbsp;Fortiphyd\u0026nbsp;Logic to\u0026nbsp;commercialize some of his industrial control system security\u0026nbsp;technologies.
