In addition to being a doctoral candidate, Jani was also a key member of the \u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/www.ligo.org\u0022\u003ELaser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory (LIGO)\u003C\/a\u003E team that first observed the existence of gravitational waves in 2015.\u0026nbsp;Jani received his\u0026nbsp;Ph.D. this year.
