Hosted by the\u0026nbsp;\u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/www.navalengineers.org\/\u0022\u003EAmerican Society of Naval Engineers\u003C\/a\u003E\u0026nbsp;and the\u0026nbsp;\u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/www.onr.navy.mil\/\u0022\u003EOffice of Naval Research\u003C\/a\u003E\u0026nbsp;(ONR) and held in Washington, D.C. The Expo is the premier S\u0026amp;T event for the Navy and Marine Corps, drawing several thousand attendees\u0026rdquo;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EAnsley presented research on the future applications of autonomous and non-autonomous unmanned aircraft (AUAV and UAV) unmanned aerial vehicles in naval combat and potential strategic and policy implications for the U.S. Navy. This technology has rapidly progressed over the last few years and can provide capabilities previously unavailable to militaries, especially navies. The research was developed and conducted as part of Nunn School Associate Professor Margaret E. Kosal\u0026rsquo;s VIP research group. As part of the Expo, he was able to attend lectures from RADM David Haan, Chief of ONR; ADM Richardson, current Chief of Naval Operations; and other individuals\u0026nbsp;throughout the defense industry.
