He serves as the President of the Columbia- Midlands Georgia Tech Alumni Network.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EHe has been an employee of SCANA Corporation for nearly 25 years serving in various engineering, construction management, compliance, and leadership roles within SCANA Corporation throughout his career to include currently the electric transmission organization and previously the natural gas transmission organization. \u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EHis current responsibilities are that of a Project Manager for SCE\u0026amp;G System Control responsible for various applications used in System Control, as well as documentation of NERC compliance with standards, SERC reporting, and he is also responsible for assisting and supporting the System Controllers through development of procedures and training. Mr. Blalock is a certified NERC System Operator and achieved the classification of Reliability Coordinator.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EMr. Blalock is the SERC representative and Chairman of the NERC Resource Subcommittee. The NERC Resource Subcommittee is leading efforts to improve primary frequency response in several of the Interconnections, support the integration of renewable resources into the Bulk Electric System and ensuring the reliability of Bulk Electric System by various measurements of performance. He also serves on the NERC Essential Reliability Services Working Group supporting and leading the Frequency Response Sub Group.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n","summary":null,"format":"limited_html"}],"field_subtitle":"","field_summary":[{"value":"\u003Cp\u003ESeminar with Mr. J.
