{"597016":{"#nid":"597016","#data":{"type":"event","title":"Ivan Allen College Distinguished Lectures","body":[{"value":"\u003Cp\u003EThe Ivan Allen College will host a lecture on:\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003E\u0026lsquo;Storytelling for Social Justice: The Power of Education to Change the World\u0026rsquo;\u003C\/strong\u003E\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EBy: Tricia Rose\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003ETricia Rose\u0026rsquo;s talk will consider the ways that colorblind story framing invisibly impedes our understanding of racial inequality and will identify storytelling approaches that lay the roundwork for a just and inclusive society. Rose is an internationally respected scholar of post-civil rights era black U.S. culture, popular music, social issues, gender and sexuality.
