{"59812":{"#nid":"59812","#data":{"type":"news","title":"Georgia Tech Communications AVP to Step Down","body":[{"value":"\u003Cp\u003EAfter more than four years leading Georgia Tech Communications and Marketing, Associate Vice President Jim Fetig has announced his intention to step down. \n\n\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EAs the head of the central public relations function for Tech, the associate vice president reports directly to the president, serves as a member of his cabinet and as the Institute\u2019s chief communications counselor.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EEarlier this week, the president announced the formation of a search committee to identify and recommend candidates for the position. Peterson said he intends to charge the search committee with finding a strong advocate for Tech as it moves forward with key initiatives, such as the 25-year strategic plan and the capital campaign.
