Interest in mobile health abounds with thousands of mobile health apps available for download today. However, most apps are shallow, fragile and offer little proof of positive health outcomes or evidence about why interaction with the app is beneficial.

Beth Mynatt (IC) and Jeremy Johnson (IMTC) will facilitate a discussion about how Georgia Tech can lead the way in creating full-featured and reusable approaches to creating mobile health applications.

- The current state of mobile health research at Georgia Tech and with our partners (Emory, Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, etc.)

- How to monitor app use to understand the interactions between healthy behaviors and the mobile user experience

- How to build apps that are responsive to IRB and PHI constraints

- Asking what you need from future mobile health projects
