Get to Know Customer Services Representative - Cassandra Arnold

Where did you attend school?

I attended and graduated from Harris Co. High School which is located in Hamilton, Georgia.

How long have you been a staff member at Georgia Tech?

13 years

Why did you decide to pursue a career in healthcare?

I come from a very close and caring family. I was raised in Shiloh, Georgia by my grandparents Mr. & Mrs. Roland Hamler who always instilled in me early on to treat people with respect and to help those who cannot help themselves.

What do you love most about your job?

I love the unpredictability of my job because no day is the same, but ending the day knowing that I did my best and I was able to help someone as well as learn from them.

How have you seen Stamps Health Services evolve throughout your time here?

Change has been inevitable here at SHS from the leadership to the remodeling of the building and also job title change. With all that is going on, we are able to continue to serve and help more students, faculty, and staff.

What have you learned from the people you work with at Stamps Health Services?

I have learned a lot from such a diverse group of people that change can be good and bad. I’ve learned that we not only strive to take care of everyone that walks thru the doors but take care of each other in a time of need.

What does your day to day look like?

Busy, Busy, Busy… Constant transactions and interactions have allowed me to use my time, resources and talents effectively.

What do you like to do when you are not at Stamps Health Services?

When I’m not at SHS I’m home spending quality time with my family such as taking care of things around the house, wife duties, mother duties, and spreading “glam-ma” love to my grandkids. I love shopping for bargains, traveling and going to concerts as well.
